The center at the small port of San Juan Suchitoto, El Salvador is open every day from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm. There is an entrance fee of $0.50 per person and $1:00 per vehicle.
Getting to the center on the local bus costs $0.35 and service run about every 20 minutes from the central plaza in Suchitoto.
At the center you will find 8 restaurants, local handicrafts and artwork sales cold drinks, appetizers. There are local boatmen who offer a variety of tours on the lake( by far the most impressive is the tour of Bird Island and natural and protected bird reserve where many migrating water fowls can be observer.
