The 129 bus route has regular service between San Salvador and Suchitoto 7 days a week. From San Salvador get the bus at the "Terminal de oriente" with service from 5:00 am till 8:00 pm,(buses leave every 1/2 hour on weekdays and every hour on weekends). From Suchitoto get the bus behind the market place with daily service from 3:45 am till 6:00 pm (buses leave every 1/2 hour on weekdays and every hour on weekends).

Since january 2005 Transport Kenia offers a new service within Suchitoto, incluiding service to the new tourist center on lake Suchitlan. You can catch the little bus on any main street in town, in front of the market, in the central plaza and many other points in town. Price $0.15(in town) and $0.25(to or from the lake).
